Hämeenkangas Military training and multi-use area - winter

Hämeenkangas is primarily used by the Finnish defence forces, but visitors are welcome to explore the area’s many skiing trails during the winter, except when occasional military exercises are held in some locations. Maps and signs direct visitors around the area, where Metsähallitus maintains many shelters and picnic and campfire sites. Skiing trails start at Jämi, Kuninkaanlähde, Viidentienristeys and just south of the garrison (Varuskunta).
