The Metsähallitus website julkaisut.metsa.fi is a website that is open to everyone. The publications of Metsähallitus are presented on the website.

Data Collection

Information about the user is collected on the website julkaisut.metsa.fi through the feedback form and through the order form of the publications.

Users can provide their contact information on the feedback form if they want a response to their feedback. The following personal data can be provided on the feedback form: e-mail address.

The user leaves his or her contact information on the order form if he or she wants to order a publication or if he or she wants more information about the publications. The user can leave the following information on the order form: name, street address, postal code, city, e-mail address and phone number.

Data processing and disclosure

The data collected on the feedback form is transferred to the feedback database in Metsähallitus’ environmental and quality system. Personal data is not disclosed to parties outside Metsähallitus, and the data is only processed inside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Information about the orders is not saved in any registry, the system forwards the orders through e-mail directly to the person in charge.

Data storage

The personal data provided in conjunction with feedback is stored for as long as necessary for the purpose of feedback processing at Metsähallitus.

The e-mails received through the order form will be deleted as soon as the order is handled.

Data protection

The protection of the Julkaisut.metsa.fi webpages complies with best practices in data protection, current legislation and regulations, and supplementary instructions issued by Metsähallitus. Access rights are used to restrict use of the system to only those individuals that require the data for their work.

Use of cookies

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding actions carried out in the processing of his or her personal data.
