The Natural Heritage Services of Metsähallitus protect and manage genuine, threatened Finnish nature and produce recreation services for nature lovers. Nearly all of Finland´s national parks, strict nature reserves and other protected areas on state-owned lands and waters as well as northern wilderness areas and a large number of other state-owned areas with hiking facilities are our responsibility.
